this was an attack by a small and savage group. it was not the people or government of libya. everywhere kris and his team went in libya, and a country scarred by war and tyranny, they were hailed as friends and partners. when the attack came yesterday, libyans stood and fought to defend our coast. some were wounded. they carried his body to the hospital and helped rescue and lead other americans safely. last night, when i spoke with the the president of libya, he strongly condemned the violence and pledged every effort to protect our people and to pursue those who were responsible.

we're watching facebook stock as well. their stock is soaring, above 6 percent right now. we are also watching bay area unemployment rates. the bay area is doing much better than the rest of the state when it comes to unemployment. labor statistics show that california's unemployment rate at 10.7%. in the bay area, a lot lower. marin county has the lowest unemployment rate in the state. san francisco has the fourth lowest in the state. the unemployment rate in santa clara is at 8.7%, a lot better than it was just two years ago in august. it was 11.7%. >>james: facebook founder and ceo mark zuckerburg has delivered for the first time since the company went public, a company statement.

for >>jackie: fire investigators from the alameda fire department had just left. the fire broke out early this morning displeasing at least 15 people. if according to alameda fire around 1:00 a.m. there received a phone call from this two-story building that actually has four units inside. phil according to officials, bystanders and witnesses told them there were people still inside the building. at that point, firefighters made entry.

they found one person still inside. that person was disabled and had to be physically carried out of the house during a fire. that person was treated here at the scene. we did speak to a fire captain who describes not only the fire, but the rescue. >> upon arrival, and bystander at a lower unit had to be rescued. the person was rescued and we have evacuated the building of the other occupants. >> as i said earlier, there are actually four units inside the building. 15 people were inside when the fire broke out.
